Seattle needs a vacation

If Miguel Bautista could make an lolcat, it’d probably be like the one above.

Bautista threw 85 pitches last night … in 2-1/3 innings.

Think about that for a moment. That’s an average of 12 pitchers per out. George Bush’s war strategy is more efficient than this.

Needless to say Bautista didn’t give his team much chance to win. After giving up six runs and after his replacement, Cha Seung Baek, gave up for more, the lowly Rangers had all the runs they needed for a 10-1 win over the Mariners.

Bautista’s final line (2.1 IP, 3 H, 6 ER, 6 BB, 2 SO, 1 HR, 1 migraine for manager John McLaren).

To add insult to injury, Texas managed to score ten runs and Ramon Vasquez was the only starter to notch two hits. Three other players didn’t get a hit.

But that’s all right. Ryan Rowland-Smith and Mark Lowe looked great in mop-up duty.
